Volunteer with RRUSA at Vancouver Pride!

We are looking for volunteers to help out at our booth at Vancouver Pride 2026!

Position: Special Events Coordinator

Location: Colwood, British Columbia (hybrid/online)

Term: 8 week contract

Hours: 35 hours per week

Wage: $27.40 per hour

The Special Events Coordinator supports the planning, development, and delivery of engaging events for the Royal Roads University Student Association’s in-person and online student community. This role focuses on event coordination, partnership development, and digital engagement, while providing valuable hands-on experience in event planning, communications, and project management.

The Community Programs Director plays a key role in supporting the Royal Roads University Student Association by enhancing current programs and services, researching and developing new initiatives, and evaluating partnerships and engagement strategies. This position is designed to provide a meaningful work experience that builds professional skills in program development, community engagement, research, and digital innovation.

Dynamic Sustainable Solutions Research School

May 2026 to September 2026


This program offers early-career researchers and students a unique opportunity to engage with the multidisciplinary field of sustainable development. A distinguished panel of international experts will guide participants through comprehensive training in research methodology, providing mentorship as they explore a sustainability-focused research problem of their choice—working in collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams.


The 2026 school covers a rich range of thematic areas including agroecology and sustainable food systems, green engineering and net-zero technology pathways, circular economy, AI for social good, climate science, and sustainability ethics and governance, among others. To ensure broad accessibility, all sessions will be conducted online, held bi-weekly on weekend mornings (10:00 AM – 12:00 noon EST).


The program concludes with the publication of a research compendium featuring participants' work, with standout papers considered for submission to peer-reviewed journals. Participants will also receive Reference Letters and a Certificate of Participation upon completion of the program. Participation is entirely free of charge. Register now!
