How to Run for a Position on the RRUSA Board

Read through the rules of the nomination and campaign procedures.

Make sure you are a current active RRUSA member in good standing.

Review the Board of Director positions to decide which one to run for.

Verify Eligibility

Ensure you are eligible for the position that you intend to run for.

Consider a Platform

Outline what you would like to achieve during your term if elected.

Prepare your candidate bio and submit a nomination form before the deadline.

Attend Orientation Meetings

Keep up-to-date by attending meetings held by the Election Administrator prior to the campaign period. The Election Administrator will confirm your candidacy and review the rules of the election.

Lead Your Campaign

Communicate your platform to the student community, highlighting why you should be elected for the position you are running for. Find out what your constituents are looking for in a candidate.
