Wendy (she/her) is a current director of RRUSA and is seeking re-election for a second term. Elected as the Representative for the School of Leadership Studies in 2023, Wendy joined the executive as the VP Online in early 2024. In addition to her role at RRUSA, Wendy serves as the Director of Finance and Operations for the Alliance of BC Students (ABCS), a provincial student organisation advocating for student affairs in the BC government. Through this position, Wendy has developed connections to several student societies and organisations, as well as media outlets, and the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education. She understands the landscape of post-secondary education in BC and is well equipped to develop comprehensive issues-based policies for RRUSA. During her first term, Wendy successfully advocated for the interests of graduating students in the School of Leadership Studies, as well as co-represented RRUSA at the Student Union Development Summit (SUDS) bringing home the SUDS trophy for RRUSA. Wendy is currently writing her thesis for the MA Leadership (Health) as a blended student on the unceded territories of the Halkomelem-speaking peoples in the BC lower mainland. In her life outside school, Wendy is a healthcare operations manager, wife, cat owner, fibre fiend, community volunteer, and soon-to-be amateur radio operator.
