As a second-year Master of Arts in Leadership student at Royal Roads University, I bring a strong academic foundation in leadership and healthcare to my candidacy for re-election as Vice President Online. My time in this blended and online program has deepened my understanding of effective leadership, community engagement, and the health sector, all of which I actively apply to my current and previous work with the Royal Roads University Student Association (RRUSA). In my previous RRUSA term, I served as the 2SLGBTQ+ Liaison, where I led RRUSA’s involvement in Vancouver Pride and coordinated various Pride events in collaboration with RRU staff. These initiatives fostered a stronger, more inclusive community and highlighted the importance of advocacy within student leadership. With a professional background in paramedic leadership and emergency communications, including my role as a Superintendent, I have developed strong skills in relationship-building, problem-solving, and program improvement. These skills, combined with my academic studies, provide me with a unique perspective on how to enhance the online student experience and drive meaningful change. If re-elected, I will continue to champion inclusivity, creativity, and leadership development while ensuring that the voices of our online community are heard. Thank you for your support in allowing me to continue making a positive impact at Royal Roads University.
