My name is Ghazal Ghadimi, and I am proud to call Iran my home country. With a background in architecture and marketing, as well as hands-on teaching experience, I have developed valuable skills in communication and leadership. Currently, I am pursuing my Master of Arts in Environment and Management at Royal Roads University, where I am deeply committed to sustainable development and fostering community connections. I am running for the position of International Students Liaison because I am passionate about building a supportive and inclusive environment for international students. As someone who has personally experienced the complexities of adjusting to a new culture, and educational system, and forming new relationships in a foreign country, I understand the unique challenges that international students face. These personal experiences inspire me to ensure that others feel supported, connected, and valued in our community. In this role, I am eager to organize events that encourage inclusion and friendships across the student body. I will advocate for the awareness of challenges that international students encounter, and work to eliminate stigmas while improving access to resources, programs, and events both on and off campus. My goal is to contribute to a welcoming, supportive environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and personally at Royal Roads University.
