Our mission is to create an inclusive environment that promotes engagement, service and support, and advocacy and empowerment on behalf of RRU students. By fostering a community that is built on transparency and trust, RRUSA’s purpose is to enrich the lives of its on-campus and blended full-time undergraduate & graduate students and stakeholders.

As detailed in our Constitution, RRUSA provides administration for the affairs of all members of the Association (students). This includes but is not limited to:

Alliance of BC Students

RRUSA is a proud member of the Alliance of BC Students. The Alliance is a provincial student organization that represents over 80,000 students and advocates for student-focused mental health resources, sexualized violence prevention on campus, open education resources, and the general removal of barriers to post-secondary education in BC. RRUSA was previously a member from 2014 to 2016.

Incorporation

RRUSA was officially incorporated under the British Columbia Society Act on June 7th, 1999.

Constitution and Bylaws

The Constitution and Bylaws are administered and executed by members of the Executive and Board of Directors. These are official documents registered with the BC Registry and contains the rules of engagement for the association, Board, and membership.  The Constitution and Bylaws can be found here.
